Quilt Displays

2010 brings many quilts for your viewing pleasure. Be sure to enjoy them all.

First annual QwM Quilt Show and Competition: This is sure to be a winner. Enjoy the beautiful works of Art and be sure to vote for your favorite to receive the People’s Choice award, sponsored by Quilter’s Rule. See pages 9 and 10 for more information.

Quilts of a Different Color: Enjoy the exquisite artwork created by Irena Bluhm. There will be 30+ quilts in this exhibit.

Quilt as Desired Challenge: Now in it’s fourth year, the annual “Quilt as Desired” Challenged is sponsored by SewBatik. SewBatik will supply a fat quarter of their wonderful batik to get you started. You will add one fabric of your choice, make sure you include an Ohio Star in the piecing, and “Quilt as Desired”. Winners will be chosen by viewer’s choice, and awards will be announced at the Friday evening banquet. A special award will be given by SewBatik for the best use of the sponsor’s fabric. There are a limited number of fat quarters available. Don’t hesitate to order your fabric packet, and join in on the challenge fun. See page 11 for more information

Come socialize with your fellow quilters! Entertainment, door prizes, great fun, lots of laughs. We will draw the winning ticket for this year’s Ohio LongArm Quilters raffle quilt as well as award the prizes for the 2010 Quilt as Desired challenge which is sponsored by SewBatik.

Grandma’s Girl: The Story of a Quilter
With so many quilters in her family tree, it was only a matter of time before Kim Brunner discovered the joys of cutting up perfectly good fabric into little tiny pieces. Join us as we follow a quilted trail that begins with little pioneer girls sitting in a row stitching together Nine Patch blocks while learning their mother’s seamstress skills and leads to a modern quilter playing with the ‘big guns’ of today’s quilting technology.
