If you’ve ever admired machine-quilted feathers and wished you could stitch them yourself on a home domestic sewing machine, then this class is for you! We’ll start off with a brief lesson on marking for feathers and then turn our attention to actually stitching them out! We will learn how to stitch the basic freeform feather and then see how easy it is to alter the feather by making minor changes in plume shape. We’ll also learn to stitch feathers with a stitched spine and then learn how to custom-fill various quilt block shapes with feathers. If time permits, we’ll go over a couple of hyperquilting designs. This is a very fun hands-on class designed to get you hooked on feathers!
